Narrative Divergence and Degrees of Blessed Freedom

Today in America, a tug of war rages between two competing visions of the public interest. One vision is indicative of direct democracy as evidenced by the mammoth and spontaneous Trump rallies. The other is the same ole’ top-down imposition orchestrated by managed democracy‘s “invisible rulers”. Look at the obligatory apparatchiks at Obama ‘rallies’. No comparison.

The first vision is both subversive and organic, deriving its strength from the economic populism (Make America Great Again – MAGA) that Donald Trump has so effectively cultivated in his role as anti-establishment outsider. (I’ve suggested elsewhere Trump is supported in this ‘populist crusade’ by an America-First subset of the elite intent on trade normalization and re-industrialization. The plot thickens.)

The second vision is overwhelmingly reactionary, roughly comprising the establishment parties (Democrats and ‘RINO’ Republicans), the Trumanite Military-Industrial-Surveillance-Media-Complex, the US Chamber of Commerce (multinational corporatism), the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) and a relative latecomer: Antifa foot soldiers dedicated mostly to Open Society Foundation paychecks. Soon, full employment will hire these Bolshe-vistas away.

Too bad so many decent moderate and left-leaning Americans are effectively caught in the dissonant headlights of the second vision’s media-propagated, out-sized fear of Trumpism.

Managed Democracy has little choice but to ignore the booming economy and satisfy itself with telegenic pratfalls, such as how Trump occasionally walks in front of his wife and sets umbrellas down without closing them. To America’s great credit, the CNN snarks are losing big-time. Trump’s job approval keeps rising despite the relentless whingeing. Even a 92% media negativity onslaught can’t avert the upward ascent of Trump’s numbers (see the Media Research Center and recent Gallup numbers, below).

Then just yesterday Rasmussen released in a report, Is Another Silent Red Wave Coming’, 51% job approval numbers for Trump. Even more foreboding, traditional Republican and Independent voters are not disclosing their voting intentions much as we saw with the stealth Trump wave of 2016. Rabid anti-Trumpism tends to drive many of his followers underground until their votes are required.

Can we talk, please? Antifa is little more than pre-ideological angst frothed up into a Soros-funded ad hominem contempt for Trump, then amplified by a manipulative Corporate Media with zero interest in a leftist agenda. The specter of a genuine leftist threat in America is thus vastly overstated.

(For the best explanation on how the political became the personal and consumer affinities kicked civic rectitude to the curb, see Adam Curtis’ The Century of the Self.)

The Organized American Left, such as it is (and it really isn’t) strikes a delicate balance between ingested false consciousness and battered wife syndrome. The hijack dates back to 1980 when ideologically oblivious DCCC fundraiser and California Congressman Tony Coelho mired the Democratic Party in a Republican-lite quest for corporate dollars (later to be called Clintonism.) The ‘Left’ has been beating itself up in a lesser-of-two-evils cul de sac ever since. False consciousness ‘aspires’ to trapping its ingestees in a cycle of escalating self-injury. Even when Trump unlocks the prison door, they do not run away.

The fact is, there is no Left in America. There is no Center in America. Why? Under the American campaign finance regime three-quarters of the political spectrum has been structurally consigned to penury. Soros is not opposed to feeding them for awhile if they can help usher in his Orwellian nightmare. After that, it will be an easy segue into the faceless proles of the United Oceanian States.

An outhouse with two doors remains an outhouse.

The Conservative Treehouse blog has taken to calling the ensuing monolith the ‘Uniparty’ as there is very little of ideological substance separating the two national organizations. Indeed the relationship between the two might better be described as a corporate-dollar market-carving strategy. HMO executives to the red, trial lawyers to the blue.

Guilds with competing economic interests square off against one another under the respective banners of one or the other party. However, this has nothing to do with ideology and everything to do with securing a ‘finance-able’ political apparatus from which to launch economic warfare against a competitor. That’s the ‘inversion’ in Sheldon Wolin’s inverted totalitarianism versus the classical form as epitomized by Mussolini: economics drives politics, not the other way around.

This leaves us with Trumpism, the most authentic expression of people-power in America today as its battle is as much against RINOs (Republican In Name Only) as the designated-foe-of-record, the Democratic Party. Though it kills half the nation to hear it, Trump’s fighting da System can’t you see? What, you got a better battering ram? As a bonus, Trump enrages Security State luminaries (have you read Brennan’s and Comey’s tweets?) the way 70s era Frank Church Committee lefties only wish they had.

But since you made me bring it up, where is the countervailing force, Trump’s doppelganger on the Left? After all, authentic opposition can only add vigor to the system. And please don’t cite that existentially corrupt carcass, the Democratic Party and its pygmy wannabes, nor the dude whom Chris Hedges accurately characterized in early 2016 as, a gutless war-mongering, sheep-herding, caucus-camp-following and despicable dissipator of leftist energies, Bernie Sanders.

For a time, he was okay for Trump’s running mate. Then he made the kids cry and delivered a whole new generation to cynicism. Creep.

Did you say Trump’s running mate?

With a modicum of jest I did propose a Prosperity Party Trump-Sanders ticket, sort of a labor-management coalition united by an abhorrence of globalism’s darling, the TPP and our shared 99.9% pariah status (this was pre-Deplorables). Alas, ideas not prefigured by the Fox/MSNBC split-screen are cognitive non-starters. In America, television has to believe things first before the People can assemble the requisite imaginative energies to offer their consent. Nobody gets behind anything until TV gets in front. Seminal thinking is reserved to the managers. That’s what decades of managed democracy will do.

Mostly there’s no money for the Left. So no doppelganger.

Lacking an irresistible force (and have I mentioned no money?) a vacuum can fill instead with hyperbolic blather. Witness the attempts to demonize the uncoaxed enthusiasm of Trumpism by equating it to incipient fascism. In the words of former President Obama (okay I’m lying, but darn it, they should be his words), if you can’t match the crowds (and he can’t), you might as well Nazify them. That’s just more of the System fighting back.

On the contrary, Trump is the antidote to Wolin’s inverted totalitarianism as old-school nationalism is a counter-trend to the dystopian telos sought by monistic globalism (the endgame of managed democracy). But nice try there, oh careless readers of Democracy Incorporated.

So who are these managers trying desperately to get inverted totalitarianism back on track? In his 1928 landmark book Propaganda, public relations pioneer and Goebbelsian trailblazer Eddie Bernays references them vaguely as, “…invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions… and shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”

For a large segment of Americans, this alliance ‘feels natural’ as it’s been the prevailing de facto power configuration throughout the post-WW2 era. (Presidents Kennedy, Carter and Reagan are the only real departures from form albeit in vastly differing modes, degrees and outcomes.) For those seeking a time-zero legislative milestone, the 1947 National Security Act will do.

Nonetheless there is a nostalgic desire on the part of many to return to ‘the way things were’ before Trump the Disrupter introduced chaos (creative destruction?) into the body politic. Much of the present chaos is being fomented by reactionary forces desperate to discredit Trumpism by showing all the chaos Trumpism foments. Did you follow that grim Soros circle? This exhausted yearning for renewed false consciousness resembles victims of the Stockholm Syndrome who miss and idealize their former captors.

Bernays, one of corporatism’s (and thus globalism’s) earliest spokesman, offers a disingenuous assertion at best when he says:

It is important that any effort to influence or effect the American public that is not in the public interest be killed by the light of pitiless publicity and analysis.

Immediately Plugins 11, the statement begs two questions that Trumpism, in its own way, hammers away at:

  • What if the American public decides at the ballot box that what passes for the prevailing public interest (really a manufactured imposition) runs counter to its own version of said interest?
  • Who orchestrates the “pitiless publicity” aimed at killing competing visions of the “public interest” and by what authority do they undertake this Fake News mission?

In a prior time just concluded when the efficacy of mass media could be trusted, such a conflict would not represent an intractable impasse so much as a cue for re-calibrating the “conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses” (Bernays).

After all, only intensified propagandizing can correct the People’s ill-informed sense of the public interest. Undemocratic manipulation is “an important element in democratic society” under Bernays’ weirdly circular formulation. In his seminal work Public Opinion (1922) Walter Lippmann covers the same terrain with his conception of ‘guided democracy’.

Bernays would have been better to say manipulation is a vital facet of a smoothly running Republic or Oligarchy, less so a Democracy. His paternalistic subtext clearly reflects the former. Indeed another name for Managed Democracy is Republicanism (not to be confused with the political party of the same name).

Finally, a cautionary to the grubby, sweaty masses: self-determination is neither a path to infallibility nor a vaccine against public policy mistakes. Direct Democracy merely makes the People the masters of their own fate, which is equally to say the captains of their own errors.

But carry on we must, and under the best banners Providence tosses our way. Beggars can’t be tireless comparison shoppers Trump may have to do. Or else show us something better.

The Cancer Thinks it’s the Body Politic

It’s worse than James Woods suggests.

Each echo chamber is a government. Each government boasts its own citizens. We overlap. We intermesh. We share supermarkets and even living rooms. Yes, some of our loved ones manage to inhabit the town of Stepford, even as they sleep beside us. This is a war of cognition where bodies don’t count.

Twitter is the garden wall where the tomatoes get tossed back and forth. The banter is tedious and predictable. Memes are like weeds. But the structural divide is truly daunting, not to mention formally drawn and institutionalized.

Who would have thought that the most ensconced and ‘arrived’ cognoscenti by any conventional measure of social stature (our so-called ‘elite”, but can we please stop calling them that?) would affix their civic orbit to the most sovereignty-deprived of our parallel governments? For the moment, the entitled class (Trumanites; we’ll get to that label presently) are up the creek without a Presidential paddle.

Up is down. Down is up. Delusional celebrities! You have no Constitution! We, the People. You, the Pimple.

For a time, we tolerated their telegenic nonsense. Until a galvanizing antithesis in the figure of President Donald Trump arrived to guide us back to a Constitutional normalcy long-since given up in the post-WW2 era. Now, with pitchforks in-hand, the Madisonian-Deplorables are on a campaign of reclamation.

Trump the giant-killer. That really kills some people. The American Left (such as it is – and it isn’t) would rather ‘protect the reputation’ of the CIA than acknowledge anything remotely positive emanating from Trump. That’s the pathological denialism at the root of derangement.

The real collusion bombshell in Helsinki? That US intelligence agencies assisted in the transfer of $400 million into the Clinton campaign coffers.  The diversion? That Trump besmirched the CIA, a theme the mockingbird choir took up unremittingly. The social media muppetry lit up, uncritically as always, as it is conditioned to do.

We all feel the endless and dispiriting tug-of-war Wood’s tweet alludes to. However, we struggle for the most encapsulating terms: Deep State, Shadow Government, Illuminati.

For my money, this ‘dueling dualism’ is best evoked in Michael Glennon’s terms, Trumanite Network and Madisonian Institutions as developed in his 2015 book National Security and Double Government.

Here’s a brief synopsis:

The book details the dramatic shift in power that has occurred from the Madisonian institutions to a concealed “Trumanite network” – the several hundred managers of the military, intelligence, diplomatic, and law enforcement agencies who are responsible for protecting the nation and who have come to operate largely immune from constitutional and electoral restraints. Reform efforts face daunting obstacles. Remedies within this new system of “double government” require the hollowed-out Madisonian institutions to exercise the very power that they lack.

Glennon, an academic, avoids a nefarious conspiracy-tinged depiction of the Trumanite side. Perhaps if they weren’t so hidden and submerged, the conspiracy crowd could lighten up a bit too. Hey, don’t blame our dark imaginings for your endless shadow-play. Step into the light or don’t bitch.

Borrowing much of his conceptual framework from the work of 19th century English writer Walter Bagehot, Glennon foresees a parallel and continued atrophying of our Madisonian institutions into something not unlike the ornamental functions of today’s British monarchy, with a more submerged government increasingly undertaking the complex business of the State. Glennon also calls them our ‘dignified’ versus ‘efficient’ institutions.

Gaining its initial impetus under the National Security Act of 1947, and driven by the overriding security (fear-based) imperatives of the Cold War, the Trumanite network grew aggressively enough that, by 1960, Eisenhower was famously warning us of an eclipsing Military Industrial Complex. This warning is no less potent today.

Sounding a cautionary, if not outright defeatist tone (the book came out in 2015), Glennon was not anticipating a retrograde figure on the scale of  Trump.

The Mueller Independent Counsel is like a Trumanite consulate within the resurgent Madisonian government spearheaded by Trump. Without Mueller’s lingering presence, the Democrats (mantle-holders at the moment for the Deep State, along with some furtive Republican establishment support) would have no substantive speaking-role, outside of (are you ready?) Maxine Waters.

The Object of Mueller’s investigation is not to go away. Mueller is the beachhead that invents incoming German artillery fire. The enemy is over the hill only because Mueller says he is. Culled from the same infernal cauldron as the War on Terror, Mueller emanates from nowhere and everywhere and is as durable as the capacity for human terror (i.e. inexhaustible). The perpetual motion machine from Lawfare Hell.

As Adam Hill points out, this in perpetuum feature accomplishes two simultaneous objectives. One, it permanently sub-optimizes Trump’s Presidency and two, it permits Rosenstein to forever dish his favored response to Congressional questions: “I’m sorry I can’t answer that question because of the ongoing nature of the investigation.” Here’s Hill:

…Rosenstein and others embarrassed by DOJ’s actions may derive raison d’être, if not safety, from the never-ending nature of the investigation. And like Leonard Shelby’s investigative file, the Russia investigation has become a puzzle that is designed to never be solved. Because to do so would end the “ongoing investigation” excuse that keeps the cause of DOJ’s embarrassment under wraps.

Trump’s filling the ‘hollowed out’ core of our Madisonian ornamental facade with larger-than-lifeness, guts, bluster and smarts. No one but him could do it! He’s restoring operative value to the Constitution –and just in time too.

They really should think about moving CNN off-air as it affords the opposition unprecedented access into the Trumanite-cheerleader set at the height of their real-time disarray, railing against the treason our POTUS (how many have denied them as their own?) displayed on foreign soil (while remaining oblivious to the treason they spew daily against our government from NYC).

The sheer incredulity of the CNN panel (here) is an odd delight to behold, especially coming from former CIA employee Anderson Cooper. It serves to remind us they’re not in the game of overt duplicity. These people are genuinely gobsmacked. Their government is under attack. And not by the Russians. By us.

Nor will they convert easily. Their identities, their statuses are wed to a superseded vision. Upton Sinclair:

It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.

The government that feeds them, promotes them, cocktails with them, advances them in their careers is one side of our Double Government. It is that government to which Trump flashed treasonous moments, to which he even implied poses a greater threat to him than does Putin’s Russia. I couldn’t agree more with POTUS.

We are the Forces of Reclamation. They are The Forces of Departure. They dream of vacating the Walmart stench for better things: supranationalism, globalism. We just want our Union back.

It’s as though the nation has double-vision, with the elite gazing through the Trumanite lens and We, The People holding down the Madisonian fort. Yes, Trump is exhibiting treasonous tendencies towards this Trumanite outgrowth. It’s the impertinent nature of cancer to think that it is the rightful body and we are the intruder. Expect a fight for the Body Politic.

Madison’s Constitution is on Trump’s side — as are We the People.

Imitation is the Highest Form of Surveillance

Lucifer is the ultimate parodist. His projects are conducted always with One Eye trained on the heavens, head cocked, the better to render imitatio Dei. As above, so below.

Similarly the Quran’s Dajjal can only ever commit one eye to the Earth’s field of play. The other, forever inward, is mimetically trained on his own every move. Such is the monocular fate of a self-studying pretender. The spirit of imitation lacks seminal force. Spontaneity is a stranger to parody.

The ubiquitous atmosphere of surveillance presently being erected above our heads by the Prince of This World is making an (ultimately) doomed bid for earthly omniscience and panopticon lockdown. We mustn’t let cutting-edge technological advances obscure the ancient coordinates of this effort. The Deep State is the Beast. We encounter its minions in positions of power. The latter are Emanations only, not the Source.

God abides free will shot through with sin. Lucifer seeks consummate control and micromanaged conduct.

Until first-order spiritual governance is duly acknowledged, the universe’s Prime Movers (Paul’s principalities) must forcibly impose themselves upon the secular debate, such terrestrial topics as geopolitics. They will not be invited. (I make it a habit to drag spooky actions, Biblical verse and poetry everywhere I go. People chuckle. C’est la vie.)

Indeed the intent of secularism is to sever the modern world from active recourse to this spiritually nourishing reservoir. Heck, the very intent of secularism is to insist on the reality of a modern world. When, in both fact and substance, nothing has changed. Superstition is not dead. It has been purposely excised from erudite conversation. Modernity is a calculated unmooring that awaits the restoration of ghosts.

We decipher malign human intent and motive from the flitting shadows cast by various bad actors on the wall, the bent politicians and bureaucrats: Clinton, Comey, McCabe, et al. The danger lies in making these characters the objects and termini of our inquiries. Spiritual myopia mixed with a media-saturated environment makes this an easy thing to do.

Even the dense and nettlesome Deep State ‘Trump coup’ saga so ably served up to the Light by the unparalleled Conservative Treehouse blog stresses, almost by narrative necessity, the shadows on the wall when the malevolent backlight, The Deep State and the forces behind even it, are so clearly the Prime Movers.

The bad actors are epiphenomena. Hillary Clinton and her minions initiate nothing. The source commands the shadow. There is a near-infinity of walking-talking factoids. You cannot nail down an atmosphere nor successfully jail a pervasively evil milieu. All lasting remedies are spiritual.

One imitatio Deo parody relates to usurping God’s law by supplanting it with a human analog more befitting the Man of Lawlessness (2 Thessalonians 2:1–12). The Antichrist will inherit a skein of lies made to resemble laws.

With astonishing candor –though perhaps lacking a palpable sense of irony– Alan Dershowitz lays the skein bare as perhaps only a storied defense attorney can, in this instance, ‘defending’ President Trump’s besieged personal attorney, Michael Cohen.

The 10 minute video is worth viewing ‘in the entirety of Dersh’s comments’ (i.e. do hop over the two ABC bobble-heads). Key takeaway? All citizens exist in a state of unactuated guilt that the State can pluck like a poisoned apple from a tree as it chooses. Of course, Christians already knew this, albeit in an Edenic context. Dershowitz is conceding the frighteningly radical relativism of ‘the laws that protect us’. Until they elect to turn on us. Many will live and die in an unprovoked condition of State-sanctioned innocence. Others will not be so lucky. They will be our saints and martyrs.

Law is a holstered gun that, unholstered, mimics a magic wand. No sooner does it point at someone than the target falls to the ground, duly convicted.

For now, Cohen has become the accidental, or is it incidental, criminal the System needs in order to pursue its larger Get Trump agenda. Like the rest of us, he is guilty of something (note Lucifer’s attempt at Original Sin imitatio Dei). The Powerful simply need to find it.

Is Cohen a bad man? Perhaps no worse than the rest of us who commit, on average, three felonies a day. That’s right. There is a book of that name (Three Felonies a Day) written by Boston civil rights lawyer Harvey Silverglate. Curiously enough, we learn where Dershowitz might have acquainted with the meaningless of it all: he wrote the book’s foreword. Here’s Harvey:

The volume of federal crimes in recent decades has increased well beyond the statute books and into the morass of the Code of Federal Regulations, handing federal prosecutors an additional trove of vague and exceedingly complex and technical prohibitions to stick on their hapless targets. The dangers spelled out in Three Felonies a Day do not apply solely to “white collar criminals,” state and local politicians, and professionals. No social class or profession is safe from this troubling form of social control by the executive branch, and nothing less than the integrity of our constitutional democracy hangs in the balance.

Law is a mode of social control. Guilt is situational. When they want you, they will uncover your guilt. And that will be that.

How does this relate to Five Eyes (FVEY) surveillance? FVEY is not a new construction, though it’s been vastly perfected over its seventy-year life. In the 50s, Charlie Chaplin earned the foreign-domestic crosshatch of MI5 and the FBI, respectively, for his alleged Communist leanings. Loose coalitions from the originating five (US, UK, NZ, CDN, AUS) can now number up to 41 eyes. Edward Snowden has insisted FVEY is more intrusive even than the NSA.

The FVEY tag-team covers the waterfront even if it isn’t explicitly legal, allowing each participating nation to run domestic interference for another’s on the latter’s home turf, thereby circumventing domestic spying prohibitions. Soon this seamlessness will cover the globe like a dark canopy.

In the Steele dossier instance, domestic opposition research was laundered via ‘former’ MI5 Steele’s intermediation (is there really any such thing as a former MI5 agent?), then re-introduced, in ‘weaponized’ form, as intercepted intelligence data. Thus we see how practically anything, even whole-cloth fiction, can be ‘intelligence-ized’ when those who run the Deep State apparatus wish it to be. We are all spies. We are all criminals.

It’s a strange feature of dictatorships that they will insist on ‘legitimate elections’ so that 100% mandates from the People can be paraded before the world. The imprimatur of legitimacy matters even in hellhole Theatres of the Absurd. They still want ‘stuff on us’ just as Nineteen-Eighty-Four’s Goldstein must extract Winston’s confession so that the State could once again look in the mirror and see its perfection staring back.

The surveillance state is an imitatio Dei of God’s omniscience fallen to earth. Guilt is a universal condition –as above, so below. But then, God told us this. The Deep State merely seeks a Babylonian Imago Dei.

Persistent innocence becomes a symptom of bureaucratic sloth, precipitated by the State functionaries’ failure to dig deep enough. Dig Lazarus, Dig becomes the mantra. And so they do.

Burroughing in on Borrowed Time

William Burroughs is the dystopian most adept at confronting Einstein’s spooky actions at a distance, the origination point for much of what ails us.

The earth-bound’s been well-addressed. Huxley sussed the drugs. Orwell and Bradbury were good at the jackboots. But is the door still there to be kicked in, or did social media dissolve it in a vat of cyber-stew? Book-burning is so de rigueur especially when Amazon hides the more combustible texts from Kindle. (Now there’s an epiphanous product name.)

Burroughs was a magician which is to say that, among other key attributes, he traveled the world with one foot in, one foot out, creating feedback loops in time.

As for time itself, it exists ‘somewhere else’ in fully-dimensioned form from whence it is traversed opportunistically by entities, benign and malign, who ensnare us in the illusion of the former’s unswerving arrow, setting us up for a catalog of backward-looking sins: fatalism, dread, ennui, regret.

Not knowing whether the next second spells life or death creates a wellspring of fear and implacable angst. From there, it’s a hop, skip and a jump to programmatic terror. Certain principalities and entities construct from this fear a vast macabre playground. Their human devotees plot ruinous wars, reserving us for bleeding, leading roles.

Inspector Gregory: “Is there any other point to which you would wish to draw my attention?”

Holmes: “To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time.”

Gregory: “The dog did nothing in the night-time.”

Holmes: “That was the curious incident.”

— from Silver Blaze, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Realpolitik alone lacks sufficient explanatory power. Geopolitics (a synonym for hubris according to Webster Tarpley) confronts a map and insists it sees a rule-based chess board. More fear?

Paul’s Principalities are the silent dogs filling the night with pregnant silence.

Of the myriad dogs nipping at Putin’s heels, which are the alphas, which the betas? Putin is equivocating. Putin is ready to pounce. Putin is balancing the Eurasianists against the Atlanticists. Putin is controlled opposition in a settled game. Putin wrestles Siberian tigers and gargles with the finest vodka. What to believe? A thousand armchair analysts want to know.

Why not all of them?

Discussing his recent documentary HyperNormalisation (2016), Adam Curtis characterizes for The Guardian the relationship between Putin and his ‘Rasputin’, Vladislav Surkov:

Surkov, whose previous career was as a director in avant-garde theatre, emerges, like Kissinger, as an arch manipulator of reality. “Surkov will invent dissident groups and fund them,” Curtis says. “He will fuel conspiracy theories, but that’s not new. His particular genius has been to let people know that is what he is doing. So whatever you see in the news: you just don’t know if it is ‘true’ or not. I noticed a headline in the Financial Times recently which said ‘no one understands Russia’s policy in Syria’. I thought: Mr. Surkov. The goal of this manipulation, Curtis suggests, is to spread a state of bewilderment and powerlessness across the globe. A sense that nothing quite makes sense.

For the record, Putin parted ways with Surkov in 2013.

Amidst all the Youtube Illuminati bric-a-brac, there’s a real gem that juxtaposes, to very eerie effect, the 911 WTC collapse with the 1985 movie Back to the Future. The conclusion, sort of, is that we’ll always be consigned to costumed-ape status within ‘their’ movie until we seize the narrative prerogative and banish the obelisk. (Yes, they work 2001: A Space Odyssey in at the end too.) Touch the screen. Be the movie. Burroughs: “Smash the control images, smash the control machine.”

The distortions in our walkabout lives are happening on multiple fronts. Perhaps Trump’s bombastic candor serves as an everyman salve. It seems everyone in power today has a trick up his sleeve. Maybe they always did and the analog world just hid it better.

The powerful script the narratives that suit them best. On behalf of their keepers, politicians play the hypernormalisation game, so cannily prefigured by Vince McMahon’s WWE via the spandex-kabuki spectacle called kayfabe. Trump volunteered for an early kayfabe beta test (see him beating the tar out of McMahon here.) Later, our telegenically minted hero showed his gratitude by appointing Vince’s wife, Linda McMahon to SBA Administrator. Who said televised pratfalls can’t reap real-life rewards?

What is really happening in the world (and there is something really happening) almost certainly bears little resemblance to what we plebes think is happening. Information is power. Misdirection magnifies the power of information. The truth is being held in strict abeyance while its guardians, the uber-rich visit island enclaves every few months to receive veritas® infusions that clear the mind and rid the body of psyop toxins. Truth has been weaponized by the Few. Its spear tips, always pointing away with diversionary malice, are wielded by the likes of CNN and Reuters.

Dissent requires a contextual fulcrum it can no longer adequately situated. Mass media is a syringe that extracts cogent narrative from the plebian epidermis. Confusion is our guide, chaos our milieu. We will never again acquaint on Earth with unmolested coherence. Only raw and naked spirit can save us now.

To borrow a Cybernetic Culture Research Unit term, plausible representation has been tactically repealed, the better to keep us off-balance. Yet every evil gesture comports an inverse shadow of divine intent. Deception drives us to question our reasoning faculties and geopolitical derivations. Given the unprecedented influx of entities at this, the twilight of human history, we are being called to the great final harvesting of souls where reason hardly matters.

In making themselves real, entities (must) also manufacture realities for themselves: realities whose potency often depends upon the stupefaction, subjugation and enslavement of populations, and whose existence is in conflict with other ‘reality programs’. Burroughs’s fiction deliberately renounces the status of plausible representation in order to operate directly upon this plane of magical war.

See how Uncle Bill is arriving again?

Hobbled to half-measure by secularist protocols, Jordan Peterson nonetheless has said as much about ideas and ideologies. At the height of our obsession with ideas, says Peterson, we do not possess them. They possess us. Peterson tends to hide out in Jungian archetypes, too intellectually self-conscious perhaps to endorse the literalness of the entities that oppress and emancipate us.

Whereas Burroughs cut to the chase.

Because there are ghosts in the machinery of ideas, superstition desperately needs reviving. Baudelaire’s Lucifer destroyed it in The Generous Gambler running cover for Abraxas and Shiva, the patron-demons of science and nihilism, respectively. Secularism is—to sound rather old-fashioned—demonic.

Malign delight in trafficking unresolvable paradox, the oxygen of cognitive dissonance. Media’s most determined adversaries could share after-hours snuggles for all we know. If Veteran Today‘s Gordon Duff can be believed (and often it’s a stretch, even by kayfabe standards), murals are stranger than fiction.

“God, what a day I’ve had.”

Burroughs gestured towards the emanation point with a silent gun. Message received. Belatedly. The Towers were being kept in jealous reserve like storied gunpowder for a more propitious time. Uncle Bill had to know this, but just didn’t want to say. I call him Uncle because he had a protective sensibility about him.

Tear away the kayfabe fabric and you risk the wrath of millions of ‘dispelled’ wrestling fans. Is uncovering the rich man’s truth really worth the herd’s dull wrath?

As long as Trump’s winning, he’ll take it. But that shouldn’t be enough for us. The meek shall inherit the fullness of time where all truths converge in the light. That time is coming back.

Has Mueller Already Been Subpoenaed in a Re-Impaneled Uranium One Investigation?

As the time seems ripe, we revisit here Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert’s (R) much ridiculed Uranium One chart presented at The House Judiciary Committee Committee Oversight hearing on November 14, 2017.

Just prior to this hearing at a November 7th press conference, Gohmert had argued for Independent Counsel Robert Mueller’s dismissal on the grounds that he was, “engaged in the cover-up of the initial Russian investigation that revealed Russia was trying to corner the market on uranium.”

Demands for Mueller’s dismissal have come from a variety of sources. In a November 9th Fox News interview, Congressman Jim Jordan echoed his Texas colleague, saying, “Robert Mueller, I think, in light of what we’ve also recently learned, relative to the Uranium One Deal, surely seems a bit compromised to me.”

As for the chart, even Stephen Colbert took a satiric swing. Colbert, by the way, is the same guy who ridiculed President Trump for tweeting he’d been wiretapped by his predecessor at Trump Tower. Guffaw, guffaw. (“This is a serious allegation. This may be the most serious allegation any President has ever made against a previous President”; see 2:23 here).

Colbert’s right for once. The wiretap allegation is off-the-charts serious. It’s even more off-the-charts because Obama did wiretap Trump. We await the vetted contrition monologue from Little Stevie’s Operation Mockingbird handlers. Stay tuned.

The devil lies not in the details or in a gleeful picking apart of the chart’s spaghetti loops and half-nelsons, though its detractors had great fun doing just that. Like the Nazca lines, the true import of the chart strikes the observer at the highest altitudes, in its powerful conveyance of the sprawling immensity of an interlocking corruption that seemed to travel in a business-as-usual manner with the day-to-day workings of the Obama Administration.

While the rightful focus of concern and alarm should be (and will be increasingly in the coming weeks and months) focused on the Obama/Clinton end of Russian collusion and more, misgivings are not easily dispelled (for this writer) that the real, long-term problem for the Republic is systemic, not episodic or of narrow political motive.

Now that the Deep State has been compelled, out of a heightened sense of self-preservation, to surface for the knife fight of its life, partisanship resembles more of the Quigley-esque sham that it always was. Let’s keep it simple. Practically everyone with a stake in power regardless of party affiliation (what The Conservative Treehouse has taken to calling the Uniparty) sans perhaps the military and Admiral Rogers’ NSA is arrayed against Trump.

Trump is an interloper who parachuted in. Whereas the rest of them spent years on their backs atop lobbyist-installed mattresses getting to where they got. Make no mistake. Ryan and McConnell hate Trump with a venom (born of self-loathing) that exceeds the Democratic leadership’s less covert disdain.

However, transcending even this epic struggle is the reality that influence-peddling has become the oxygen that makes things go. Institutional trespasses have been committed whose precedential gravity (in a cultural sense) are not easily undone. No one wants to see the whole Obama-Clinton in leg-irons more than this writer. Without doubt, they were delivering us into a globalist hellhole. However globalism is a millennia-long project. While Trumpism might succeed as a powerful cleansing agent, the salutary effects will be short-lived. This obligates us no less to pursue them.

Fortunately for us, the particular flavor of hubris we faced was self-congratulatory overconfidence. They thought they’d already reached home-base where treason and sedition no longer applied. In fact they were only on third base and Trump tagged them out. How else to explain their gratuitous carelessness, the endless reams of emails and messages? And may we say, thank G-d for those endless reams.

Nor should the aggressive prosecution of crimes be hindered in the least by the concern similar crimes are bound to be committed in the future by a system that is, sadly, wed to malfeasance of one sort or another. That would be ridiculous.

Still, in some troubling sense, the System has become the Conspiracy. The Disease has become the Patient. Justice is asymmetrically surrounded and opposed by an ethos of evil. Without doubt, the only effective cure will be one that nearly the kills the patient. Is the nation ready for this? We need a Truth and Reconciliation process so wrenching, so soul-searching and so universally accusatory that it risks the very real prospect of civil war. Nothing less will do.

After arguing away the chart’s details, it’s time to summon one back. That’s Robert Mueller, surprise, surprise. The Congressmen are right to belabor his profound unsuitability. For, more than anyone else (the others have by and large relinquished formal power) he still exerts profound influence over the course of the nation’s business and future. (Mueller’s name can be found on the upper-right-hand-side of the chart.)

First, there’s the obvious. How can an active participant in a potentially criminal enterprise be trusted to beat the truth out of himself no matter where that truth might lead, while simultaneously conducting the business of Independent Counsel over the same potentially criminal enterprise? Is Mueller capable of asking Mueller, perhaps with the assistance of his shaving mirror, What did I/you know and when did I/you know it?

Finally, if the Sessions recusal does little more than inject yet another layer of potential compromise, how has the process benefited from the recusal? An IC appointment should shed conflicts, not pile more on.

But wait. Perhaps we fret in vain.

While many may question Mueller’s ability to render a comprehensive Russian collusion investigation in all its trans-party, myriad permutations, is he technically compromised, in this instance, from fulfilling what amounts to a rather narrow mandate as Special Counsel?

That answer appears to be no, provided one agrees with the narrow part. But narrow it seems to be.

Citing Paul Manafort’s motion earlier this week to dismiss all charges against him on the grounds that anything not related to the 2016 campaign falls outside the scope of AG Session’s recusal and thus outside the scope of Mueller’s mandate, Robert Barnes offers this:

“Sessions only recused himself from “any existing or future investigations of any matters related in any way to the campaigns for President of the United States.” This recusal letter limits the scope of Sessions’ recusal to the 2016 campaigns; it does not authorize Sessions’ recusal for anything beyond that. Constitutionally, Sessions has a “duty to direct and supervise litigation” conducted by the Department of Justice. Ethically, professionally, and legally, Sessions cannot ignore his supervisory obligations for cases that are not related to the “campaigns for President.”

Using the same logic, shouldn’t Mueller –compromise notwithstanding– be precluded anyway from investigating Uranium One since the latter does not fall within AG Sessions’ recusal parameters? (Hold the wild horses. Little horsepower is needed to pull Mueller away from anything that smacks of the Democratic collusion narrative. Even Bigfoot’s been caught up in Mueller’s impervious net.) For the moment, while it remains to be seen whether the Manafort motion bears fruit, the ramifications could prove to be wide-ranging, if not fatal, to the Mueller probe.

But if not Mueller, then who for all the other ‘non-Trump’ stuff? Sessions’ authority, when not otherwise bound by recusal, is implicitly delegated to his DOJ line-staff.

So how about US Attorney for the Arkansas Eastern District, Corey Hiland, a September 2017 Trump appointee? Though there’s little corroborating evidence anywhere else, a Yournewswirearticle suggests that is precisely what has happened. A Little Rock Grand Jury ‘reportedly’ has been impaneled. Let us see.

And, while it may not be emanating out of Arkansas, the January 2018 indictment of the Maryland transportation company executive for bribing the sole supplier and exporter of Russian uranium suggests some recent movement on the Uranium One front.

Were Hiland to resuscitate the Clinton Foundation, lost email and pay-for-play investigations, there’s no shortage of sealed subpoenas within DOJ left over from the last guy who took a crack, US Attorney Dana Boente, before the plug was pulled.

As tireless cataloger-of-Clinton-Foundation-abuse Charles Ortel reminds us (here at 0:56) that a Grand Jury was convened in the Eastern District of Virginia in July 2015 under Boente’s supervision. Surely this aborted investigation could be resumed, with its significant inheritance of evidentiary material, this time under Hiland’s aegis, if it hasn’t already?

While there are tantalizing indications on the Internet about a re-opened Clinton Foundation investigation in Little Rock (See WSJ here), the impaneling of a Grand Jury has not been confirmed. Keep in mind that this, in itself, would not be unusual given the stealth and secrecy of such proceedings especially in high-visibility cases.

As for the clamoring among Republican Congresspeople for a ‘second Special Counsel’, even they would be unaware that an impaneled Grand Jury was already in existence given the secrecy afforded such executive branch actions. The indispensable Conservative Treehouse has been alone in pointing out this Congressional blind-spot (which seems to befuddle even Republican Congresspeople; see Rep. Darrell Issa just this past Sunday), as it has been alone on so many breakthroughs throughout this saga.

Nonetheless curious scenarios spring to mind. For example, what if Mueller has already been subpoenaed before an Arkansas Grand Jury to answer questions about his role in Uranium One? The Gohmert chart argues that, if such a Jury exists, then by all rights he should be.

Prepare to expect the unexpected as the collusion boomerang enters its return arc. The Pasture of the Brazen Blue Donkey lies dead in its sights.

The Donkey Did It More: Russian Collusion in the Age of Delusion

Schiff Is a Shill for the Russians
Mark Levin

Lamenting Germany’s WW1 defeat at the 1934 Nuremberg Rally, Joseph Goebbels acknowledges a hard lesson learned:

While the enemy states produced unprecedented atrocity propaganda aimed at Germany throughout the whole world, we did nothing and were completely defenseless against it…Just as we were militarily and economically unprepared for the war, so also with propaganda. We lost the war in this area more than in any other. The cleverest trick used in propaganda against Germany during the war was to accuse Germany of what our enemies themselves were doing. (My italics)

History repeats even its most odious chapters. Today, the cleverest trick against President Trump in the current high-stakes establishment war is to accuse him of what his enemies, mostly Democrats, are already up to their donkey-ears in: Russian collusion.

                                    *****

The term Russian collusion sounds like it walked off a Tavistock Institute clipboard with the usual aim of promoting fear and avoiding mass enlightenment. Knowledge is power. Enlightenment is the coveted reserve of the Few. Not surprisingly, power favors misdirection (ignorance) over enlightenment (empowerment). Dumb down and frighten — divide and conquer.

This is why the plebeian class is often referred to as the disorganized masses. Buffeted by successive waves of misdirection, society becomes a de-articulated echo chamber of movements, ideologies and belief systems. Horizontalized incoherence averts vertical assaults on those who preside on high. The Internet alt-narrative, a bottoms-up constellation of knowledge simultaneously disseminated and protected by its distributive architecture, is climbing the enlightenment ladder slowly. It needs to hurry.

We find an early Russophobic send-up in the zany 1966 movie The Russians Are Coming! The Russians Are Coming! Trying desperately to stay under the radar of state actors (with their penchant for international incidents and Independent Counsels) a Soviet sub and its crew, having run aground on a Cape Cod sandbar, enlist the support of sympathetic Cape Cod villagers to regain open waters. Their Russian nationality is initially hidden (isn’t it always?) behind the guise of Norwegian fishermen. Everyone has the presence of mind not to call CNN. The movie instructs that, when encountered in everyday interactions, Russians are people too. Imagine that! This humanizing touch was a real coup in Cold War America.

The visceral and reflexive fear of a prior era is being resurrected. But as prelude to what? More on that later.

Russian collusion is also calculated to stoke primate fears. In essence, the colluders have acquired an infection from the main doctrinal source; Russia being a sort of Typhoid Mary. The resultant false doctrine (revived nationalism, multilateralism, Eurasianism, post-Bolshevism, Christian renewal) has the potential to visit a cognitive plague on the larger group, or should we rather say their doctrine poses a health threat to the prevailing narrative, the latter being an illness in itself that seeks the preservation of the Few at the cost of the Many.

So, a pervading illness erects the strawman of a secondary ailment in order to defend the primacy of its own pathology. Never mind that, for Americans, this secondary ailment is exactly what the doctor ordered. The truth is disguised as a disease. The emanation point is Russia.

Keeping the masses both joined to a common moral cause (the Straussian baton of Greatest Present Evil has clearly passed from Terror to Russia) and trained on their potent enemy (for what appears to be an imminent conflict), our Managers find the prospect of We the People—in our militarized permutation—inflicting a deathblow on Russia, while getting death-blown ourselves, a very tempting two-for-one proposition.

For the moment, until a cure is found (or a war is started in earnest) we are urged to please wash our hands thoroughly after handling all things Russian. Russian flags on Olympic grounds could spark an outbreak. Ban them. If you encountered a Russian-sponsored ad on Facebook during the election be aware the contagion may have survived on your PC screen for weeks, causing some to waste their vote even on the likes of Jill Stein. Now that’s sick! The political valence of the click ads–Trump or Clinton—didn’t matter either. Germs are agnostic and airborne. They can travel for miles disguised as competing worldviews.

Sometimes the drumbeat can carry us into the most surreal byways. Take the positively eerie instance of a CNN correspondent venturing onto an elderly pro-Trump Floridian’s front lawn to question her patriotism and Russian sympathies.  Throwing caution to the wind, he fails to don the official CNN gloves and surgical mask. What is he in this instance: a journalist, a stalker, an ideological ambulance-chaser, a proto-Soviet Precinct Captain?

More linguistic mischief. We encounter the nefarious The dozens of times a week as in The Russians. Deployment of the definite article as preface to an ethnic group, people or tribe is another tactic aimed at suggesting members of a particular group can no longer be referenced as autonomous individuals, having become hive-minded Stepford Wives lashed to an agenda injurious to the larger group. The The’s are behind the recent ramp-up of crime! No sooner do the The’s move into the neighborhood than property values take a dive. The The’s control the world!

The perils of ethnic scapegoating are a matter of historical inspection. Why then are they being so systematically courted? The indignation of our nation’s 2.9 million Russian-Americans is entirely too muted, certainly under-televised. Perhaps Wolf Blitzkrieg can look into this.

In a recent tweet, Hillary Clinton stoops yet again to Russia-baiting. Then there’s the thirteen Facebook trolls who happen to be Russian nationals engaged in a strictly business venture with no evidence of a state actor role and no overt political leanings. None of this prevents Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein from alluding by sly inference to the Russians during his press conference (here at 3:19) as though King Bee Putin himself was supplying the company with kitty and puppy clickbait pics from the depths of the Kremlin’s basement.

How does national origin warrant even a cursory mention unless a larger point is being made? The indicted will never see a court of law anyway. The slur was the thing. It was lodged. Mission accomplished.

This essay would be remiss if it didn’t acknowledge another deep reservoir of Russian antipathy, one rarely cited in realpolitik analyses.

Americans can scarcely imagine the elemental hatred unreconstructed Bolshevism still harbors for the Russian people, even less so that the current anti-Russian mania reprises a century-old conflict in a far-off land. The depth and context of this hatred overflows America’s rather provincial and TV-centric intellectual boundaries. Russia’s defeated Bolsheviks are America’s resurgent ones.

Bolshevism is a secular expression of the Spirit of Antichrist. Like a noxious fume seeking a crevice of entry, it presses cultural nihilism everywhere God isn’t. Sadly, America is ripe for invasion. Christian leader Chuck Missler identifies America’s fate as an instance of God’s abandonment judgment. Missler lays this harsh heavenly verdict largely at the unclean feet of abortion. The Creator is particularly jealous of His creational prerogative. Human interlopers armed with forceps anger Him like few other things.

Some will ask, but wasn’t Bolshevism forever consigned to the ashcan of history? Not universally.

America’s aversion to introspection permitted it to circumvent the dialectical process (that the disintegrating Soviet Union had no choice but to pass through) by audaciously claiming one-sided victory in the First Cold War. This undigested Hegelian synthesis goes on to become a catastrophe for the world:

Refused her duly earned ticker-tape parade, America was presented instead, at war’s end, with the preposterous Neocon invocation to beat her sword into yet another sword. The interminable loop of permawar (itself an indigestible bit of ahistorical mischief) became America’s ‘way forward’. As for our supposed adversary, ‘terror’, it offers an inexhaustible emotional response to perils of the real, imagined and endlessly manipulated kinds. The Neocon catastrophe is now a matter of global record. The peace dividend was purloined by a unipolar will-to-power that metastasized into a monomania worthy of Ahab himself.1

The mere passage of time—days stacked on days—carries neutral historical content. History measures itself in the birthing and discarding of ideas. In Hegelian terms, because historical synthesis in America was not allowed to happen, Bolshevism is free to renew itself on American shores like a new, old plague. Certainly the appearance of Trump impedes this process. Whether Trumpism can, in the long term, avert Bolshevism (essentially, collectivization and centralized control) altogether runs counter to the eschatological necessity, within Abrahamic traditions, for a climactic and unassailable evil.

If Russia’s post-Bolshevik Christian revival is a matter of record, surely the demise of Christianity in America is equally documentable. Since America is a God-vacated public space, albeit peopled with a large and besieged Christian population, the nation can reacquire God’s manifold blessings, one suspects, only after a protracted period of civil strife and turmoil comparable to Russia’s near-century-long struggle.

Paul’s Principalities of the Air, Good and Evil, are no less aware of what renewed Russian ascendance portends. The forces of evil, armed with what Joel Skousen has called, ‘revelatory demonic content’, have every reason to resist Russia at every turn. The point is the Russian Collusion delusion comports a supernatural component. I have spoken elsewhere about Russia’s strange and special mission with regard to a global Christian revival, certainly in its Orthodox form. Numerous mystics and thinkers have asserted the same:

Acting as an agent of restraint on the spirit of Antichrist (a phenomenon Paul in Thessalonians calls katechon), Russia can influence—and work to brake–a world hell-bent on godless chaos. Oswald Spengler spoke of the Russian soul coming of age at some future propitious time.2

Russophobia expresses a spiritual aversion to which geopolitics acts merely as frontispiece. The stakes are existentially high, transcending empires and ideologies. No wonder our Gatekeepers sputter and fuss. Armed with the most tepid forensic evidence of Russian influence, they are charged nonetheless with pressing a spiritual war on ostensible geopolitical grounds, loath (for tactical reasons) to expose their dark, first-order spiritual affiliations. Invisibility indeed!

If, as Nicolas Berdyaev claimed, “independent Russian thought was awakened by the problem of the philosophy of history”, America’s purveyors of wickedness glossed our version of the history problem by consigning us to a deep sleep of irresolvable terror. 3

Into this bewildering spiritual-geopolitical nexus tumbles the Trump phenomenon as though God Himself delivered the former reality TV star to an especially propitious moment in history. Actually Trump arrives as an emissary and change agent from the tippiest-top of human society in its current arrangement.

For, with all due respect to Alex Jones, the elite is not simply a monolithic invective to be invoked between vitamin appeals. Both George Orwell and Ferdinand Lundberg recognized a tripartite class structure; the Inner/Outer Party and the FinPols/PubPols respectively, with the Proles languishing beneath their bicameral overlords. Recognition of this structure is imperative to understanding the machinations occurring overhead, particularly during moments of inflection.

The Outer Party (what I’ve taken to calling the Janusian Class) is always, by the latter phase of empire, existentially corrupt and irredeemably evil. Beholden to the empire-of-the-moment, this class is typified by Bill and Hillary Clinton: proles-by-birth, striving, venal, amoral, grasping, highly acquisitive and power-hungry. Outer Party corruption grows as the empire becomes more sclerotic. Influence-peddling and trading off past empire glories overtake bold new action.

American foreign policy has been of the self-harm variety in recent years. Take the myriad sanctions regimes and their strange internal contradiction: By hurting ourselves we will hurt you more. Petulance is a weird master. Each chastisement of the outside world is met with greater strides by the latter to extricate itself from the Empire yolk. Global retreat from petrodollar recycling accelerates. You call this success?

Unlike the transnational and multi-generational Inner Party, a genus apart, the Outer Party administers the prevailing empire on the former’s behalf while feigning attentiveness to the proles. In the waning days of every empire (a point we find ourselves at with Pax Americana), the Outer Party must be disabused of its false sense of entitlement. The privileges it enjoys are far from inalienable, though many may be ‘compartmentalized away’ from a full understanding of their own ephemeral, second-tier status.

Dispatched from the highest strata of society to organize the masses behind the ostensible banner of populism (yes, a seeming paradox), Trump’s task is to retrieve and restore America the Nation from the vacating, century-long mandate of America the Empire.

Therein lies the Trump paradox as he serves both the Upper Party and the Proles with material assistance from the former and cheers from the latter. His war is with the Outer Party, a confluence of Democrats, Republicans and Deep State operatives whose end is near. Though their potential to inflict great damage (in the manner of thermonuclear war) remains potent.

It is America’s Outer Party—not the Transnational Inner Party—that detests and fears Trump and Putin. Nor are these leaders saviors-for-all-seasons it must be understood. The nationalism they champion is but an interim step to a full-on advance of renewed globalism.

Whether they fully comprehend the provisional status of their respective movements is hard to say. The boundaries of compartmentalized knowledge are difficult to ascertain. Some actors are more conscious than others.

Suffice it to say the world is in a normalizing phase. The ultimate equilibration during this phase involves establishing a trade-balanced parity between the US and China. To the disappointment of many, the Eurasian Century, the One Belt One Road (OBOR) and AIIB initiatives are not born of exogenous processes, but rather unfold within the rubric of the Transnational Inner Party.

The monism required of the Antichrist system allows for no partition. Cultural Marxism, a soul-destroying collectivist paradigm, is in service to the Transnational Inner Party. With the able assistance of this Luciferean vanguard, the world is being staged for the Final Days, but not before an eclipsing Panopticon runs the full length and breadth of the planet.

The insistence that Trump is a Russian agent (against an avalanche of absent facts) is simply untrue. Nothing has been produced to substantiate the charge. As this essay is being typed, CNN is en route to interview a female escort in Thailand who may be sitting, not only on her livelihood, but on the key to unlocking the Trump-Putin secret relationship. Very shortly, Wolf Blitzkrieg will be issuing parental warnings. The escort is a former paramour of Russian oligarch and Putin confidante Oleg Deripaska who we’ll be getting to in a minute.

What Trump and Putin are are co-agents of strikingly similar conceptual frameworks that are at odds with the ultimate globalist plan for eviscerated national sovereignties. The Outer Party fights them as though their lives depend on it. And they do. The Inner Party are using both men as transitional cleansing agents on the way to a culminating globalist regime. The current ‘Globalist’ vs. Nationalist struggle is an orchestrated conflict. (There’s much talk of ‘false dialectics’ these days. Lucifer is the Prince of this World and the purveyor of intellectual confusion. All dialectics are false, though God works mysteriously to guide His eschatology through.)

Trump and Putin are thus wed, neither by treasonous acts nor shared paramours, but by worldviews that happen to align. The collusion narrative neatly ties both leaders together in the pejorative image of partners in crime. Exactitudes such as these hardly matter to those who would like nothing better than to see an end to both of them by any means necessary.

The Democratic Party version of Russian collusion, which we’ll be hearing a lot more about in the coming weeks and months, is a much seedier brand. Traditionally a globalist stalking horse and Deep Swamp entity and possessing greater latitude than the currently hamstrung Republicans (with the disliked Trump at their helm), the Party of the Donkey views Russia as a source of enrichment. As long as it fulfills its globalist work-list, the usual graft and corruption is permitted to occur simultaneously.

Thus Trump’s ‘collusion’ is an unfairly earned and intentionally misleading depiction of his geopolitical intentions. Whereas the Democrat’s ‘collusion’ is the old-school, under-the-table form of corruption implicating business interests rather than state actors. Oddly enough, neither is collusion in the proper sense of the word.

The truly grievous miscalculation arose when such a whirling dervish of a topic was injected into a Presidential campaign. For that, we turn to Clinton Campaign Manager John Podesta.

The Trump collusion delusion—impudently put into play by Podesta during the 2016 election—is the Goebbels Doctrine brought back to wretched life. The trick, again, is to identify one’s most glaring vulnerability (Uranium One, Podesta Group), then ruthlessly attack the enemy with it.

One of alt-media’s indispensable websites The Conservative Treehouse connected some fascinating dots recently regarding Oleg Deripaska. While hardly a household name, the Russian aluminum magnate has popped up more than once in the collusion saga. The trouble is his appearances never fail to tear away the Goebbelian veil behind which we invariably find a donkey-bride with puckered lips.

As Tablet Magazine reported:

A release last week of texts showed that Christopher Steele, the former British spy whose memos regarding the Trump campaign’s possible ties to Russia are referred to as the Steele dossier, reached out to Sen. Mark Warner, the ranking Democratic member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, through a Russian-linked Washington, D.C., lobbyist named Adam Waldman. Among Waldman’s clients is Oleg Deripaska, a Russian aluminum magnate with close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin. In a text dated March 16, 2017, Waldman texted Warner, “Chris Steele asked me to call you.”4

The article goes on to suggest that:

If Steele worked for a Russian oligarch with close ties to Putin, it is likely to change prevailing views of the Russia investigations of the past year and a half.

Understatement duly noted.

If the universally discredited Christopher Steele anti-Trump dossier is, in fact, a faux-Opposition Research piece jointly commissioned by the Clinton Campaign and Deripaska, then perhaps the nation’s media complex has been barking up the wrong collusion narrative. Goodness, how’d that happen?

Then there’s the recently announced aluminum tariffs. Either Trump is mounting an insurrection against his ‘Kremlin handlers’ with aggressive tariffs targeting close Putin confidante Deripaska’s company, Rusal or we’ve been diverted yet again from the real Russian corruption within our political process.

Cementing the Democratic brand of Russian collusion even further, we shouldn’t forget Senator Mark Warner’s (D-Va.) attempts to make secret off-the-record communications with Christopher Steele in November 2017.  Warner’s intermediary was the same lobbyist (Adam Waldman) retained by, are you ready? Oleg Deripaska. Heehaw!

Interestingly, Deripaska announced just last week his decision to step away as head of Rusal. A 23.6% levy, the aluminum tariff is no glancing blow. Listed on the Department of Treasury’s ‘Kremlin list’, Deripaska may be distancing himself as part of a sanitization exercise as prelude to Russia’s formal filing of a trade complaint with the WTO.

Of course, the Russian Oligarch’s connections to the Democrats is but a minor collusive thread in a much larger fabric where the common preoccupation is money. Its renewed newsworthiness derives from the tariff announcement just this week by the ‘soft on Russia’ Trump administration.

As the President is routinely pilloried by Democrats for his failure to implement the last round of Russian sanctions, surely Senator Warner and his colleagues should be sprinting to the mic to applaud Trump’s shoving it to one of Russia’s wealthiest and most notorious oligarchs. For all we know, Warner has already messaged his regrets directly to the Russian source. He has the number.

But back to Podesta, who had at his back a propaganda apparatus the Weimar Germany would have envied: The Washington Post, CNN, The New York Times, et al, et al. According to The Media Research Center, network press coverage of Trump logged an astonishing 91% negative slant in the September-November 2017 period.

The Bernaysian narrative prefers to work the room in jealous monotone. Dissonance distracts the masses from their marching orders. Sometimes things can go haywire such that the proles vote for what the Outer Party deems an unvetted, exogenous candidate. Managed Democracy fears the insurrectional energies posed even by a 9% dissident narrative. (Nursing a 2-strike Youtube count, Alex Jones should take note.)

Now a word on hubris.

Podesta had every reason to believe Clinton would win thereby allowing his disinfo project to slink, unexamined, into the mists of time.

Of course, Trump, no limping Kaiser, is a TV-savvy guy with uncanny media instincts. (Witness his ringside, bone-spur-defying, mano a mano victory against WWE owner Vince McMahon.  Professional wrestling is a pioneer in the belief-suspension biz.. This makes it a forebear of Fake News and a potential uncle of Wolf Blitzkrieg. See kayfabe.)

So yes, in terms of propaganda firepower, Trump is badly outnumbered. However, to Twitter management’s continued exasperation, he’s far from toothless. Early on, he elects to sidestep the gatekeeper’s media prism altogether, weathering the simpleton accusations and conveying his policy initiatives in 280-characters or less.

Much like Wile E. Coyote at the bottom of the U-shaped gorge, we find today the collusion-boulder gazing down upon Podesta et al from the peak of Mt. Trump. Curiously enough, Lady Lynn de Rothschild perceives all that is portended for The Valley of the Dems below. She intuits the fatal turn very early on too.

Releasing on February 21, 2017 what in hindsight appears to be a twitter overshare, Rothschild publicly castigates Podesta as ‘pathetic’ and a ‘loser’. Nothing subtle there. As Tom Jones might say she’s a Lady even when she slips.

Nonetheless her foresight is both telling and foreboding as, from her vantage, nothing less than the ‘destruction’ of the Clinton family lies ahead. At first blush, one thinks Milady fretheth a bit much. After all, Girlfriend just lost an election. The utter cessation of the family crest seems excessive given all that is known, certainly by us, in February.

Or maybe not.

Rothschild’s exasperation and concern, palpable in the tweet, is directed at one man. How could that idiot Podesta have been so reckless?

Indeed his out-of-touch arrogance succeeds in activating a realm of inquiry that is destined to brush past Trump on its way to decimating the real Russian collusion culprits, the Democrats. Podesta proves himself a passable acolyte of Herr Goebbels in all but one crucial metric: his candidate fails to win. Loser!

I cite Milady’s prescience not to belabor hackneyed Rothschild conspiracy theories, only that she is a close, wealthy, and influential confidante of Hillary Clinton. To minimize her insight and access is as equally implausible as it is to proffer one-eyed pyramids in the Valley of Illuminati Kings. The tweet stands as an astute predictor of dark days to come for the Democrats.

Post-election, we move into a far more perilous phase for the Democrats and their Deep State patrons as they decide to inflict the hopelessly self-referential collusion narrative on a sitting President. Fortuitously (or is it providentially?), there’s a stalwart Constitutionalist to contend with in NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers.

A mere two days after the latter’s November 17 2017 trip to Trump Towers where it is strongly presumed he tips the cards to Trump regarding the building’s bugged status, Secretary of Defense Ash Carter and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper are baying in the Washington Post for Rogers’ firing (see below). One of the pressing reasons given? Rogers’ ‘gruff personality’. The day after Rogers’ visit, Trump relocates his entire transition operation to Bedminster, New Jersey.

Thus Rogers’ termination is proposed in hurried fashion during the waning, post-election days of the Obama administration. Understandably, the President elects not to cloud his final days with an oddly-timed and controversial firing. Wisely (or not), he declines Carter and Clapper’s recommendation. The coup-plotters (for we are very much in a coup phase now) must content themselves with the hope that, between the media’s frenetic arm-waving, the future appointment of a Special Counsel Inquisitor by a compliant DOJ and a cooperating Comey at the FBI, soon-to-be President Trump can still be thwarted via impeachment, resignation or worse.

Not enough can be said by the way for Rogers’ courageous intervention on behalf of the President-in-waiting, and indeed on behalf of the rule-of-law and the orderly transition of power. In fact, the video below suggests Admiral Rogers may be the Hero-Savior of the Republic. It’s worth a watch.

In short order, Trump’s National Security Advisor, General Michael Flynn gets shanghaied via process crime entrapment, which may yet turn to rancid, poisoned fruit before this opus sounds its last note.

Slowly but surely, we’re converging upon the million dollar question which is really the trillion dollar question. Why did the Democrats, in league with certain Deep State actors, persist in a brazen plot to unseat a duly elected President? Because it is a trillion dollar question, that’s why. The stakes are exponentially high, and not because of the Russians either. Because of the money.

By all rights, CNN has held up its end of the bargain. Wolf Blitzkrieg and Jake Wire Tapper can barely manage a shift in their chairs without lashing Trump to Russian Collusion. Down in the media trenches, 24-7 drummed-in false consciousness is a tedious affair where repetition is king. Someone’s got to do it. Wolf seems intellectually well-suited for the task.

Once again, The Conservative Treehouse reminds us why the Facebook bobble-heads wake up every morning in a diversionary funk regarding all things Trump. And no, it’s not because he has funny hair:

For the past 30 years the U.S. has lost jobs, wages have been depressed, and the middle-class has suffered through the implementation of economic trade policy that destroyed the U.S. manufacturing base. None of this is in question – the results stare us in the face – yet the Wall Street and multinational corporate club(s) [U.S. Chamber of Commerce chief among them] now demand a continuance of the same.

The economic and trade policies of the Trump administration are adverse to those interests. As we have shared for several years, candidate Trump, now President Trump is an existential threat to the multinational program.

All opposition to President Trump is about the underlying financial and economic policy of America-First. There are trillions at stake. [My italics]

With a GDP half that of the UK’s, Russia is still economic small potatoes. Nonetheless a double-bang is achieved (for the Military Industrial Complex) with a renewed Cold War directed at the Bear. Conceivably, that’s the quid pro quo presented to Trump for acquiring the military as Praetorian Guard as a counterweight against intelligence agency hostility. The military is an institution with naturally strong nationalist affinities. The antagonism between the Pentagon and the CIA is longstanding and culturally embedded.

As Voltaire might allow by way of paraphrase, “look to the behemoth you’ve barely broached for there you will find the puppet-master extraordinaire.” That behemoth is China.

China’s hidden hand (with, it must be said again, the Inner Party’s active assent and participation) has been evident in America’s establishment parties since at least Bill Clinton, with Western banking interests active since at least 1972, probably earlier. Should Congress not deliver (on continued sedition against America-First interests and prolongation of NAFTA), the extortion screws will begin turning in earnest.

Might this explain the recent spate of announced Congressional Republican resignations? The easy money has been made selling the nation out for decades with duopolistic abandon and mutually-assured cover. Faint-hearted traitors are moving for the exits.

For today, we have a wily gate-crasher in the White House. Under him, the People are tasting the early, tangible fruits of a renationalizing economy: full employment, rising property values, an anticipatory stock market rise and re-equilibrating food and consumer prices (ultimately to revise downward for America consumers) when China’s backdoor entry to the American market via camouflaged proxy points Mexico and Canada is appreciably closed. Again, this is all part of an equilibration process sanctioned from above.

The fiction of Trump as Putin stooge is a threadbare pretext. Manafort and Podesta are prior working colleagues after all, hardly diehard ideologues for their respective Red and Blue. Both hail from the Outer Party’s Great Purple Swamp, an environ intent on the de-industrialization of America, the delivery of productive primacy to China and the ascent of Wall Street over Main Street forevermore. The Red-Blue horizontal divide is Carroll Quigley’s kabuki theatre in full false swing.

In yet another instance of Goebbelian misdirection, the Democrats’ Russian collusion narrative is all about neutering Trump for the greater good of China and its stateside patron, Wall Street. Russia is but an expedient globalist cudgel to be wielded against MAGA comeuppance. Democratic leaders only ask that you not examine the collusion narrative’s internal contradictions too closely as the whole gravy train could come crashing down in a cloud of sedition and jaw-dropping hypocrisy.

For thirty years or more, China was the chief beneficiary of this Great Game of Treachery. Then Mr. Trump came to Washington. This re-nationalization (de-empirization) of America involves normalizing trade, defusing the Triffin Paradox, extracting the dollar from reserve currency status and petrodollar primacy; i.e., smoothing the potentially bumpy road back to nation-among-nations status, all without WW3 being instigated by a power-mad Outer Party in precipitous decline.

That’s the balancing act. Importantly, this walk-back—while ostensibly nationalist—expresses the desire of some of the most powerful forces on earth. A peaceably requited US will then create the parity required to install a proper globalist super-state. The US is the last empire to emerge from nation-state auspices. Although its presence will be greatly felt (already it is asserting a repressive hand on the global Internet) China will not assume the empire mantle from America, thereby averting the enormous dislocations caused by the Triffin Paradox. A global currency (the SDR) unbeholden to destabilizing trade imbalances will become the coin of the global realm.

Thus while the American Outer Party’s decades-long capitulation to Chinese interests joins the usual earthly vices—greed, corruption and power—with a globalist endgame of Cultural Marxism, the active promotion of Russophobia unfolds on two diametric planes: diversionary politics and deep-seated spiritual opposition.

Human history is intended as a gradually narrowing process wherein divine light is progressively obscured as Lucifer consolidates everything of earthly value first, for a select few, then ultimately for himself. Therein lies the resonance of the pyramidic metaphor. Things will darken appreciably before lightening climactically. God will win.

Is Bigfoot Mueller’s Missing Link?

In an astonishing and defining moment both for cryptozoology and the Russian Collusion narrative, Independent Counsel Robert Mueller revealed today that massive hominid footprints discovered outside both Trump Tower and the Kremlin originate from the same primate species, if not the same individual.

Posing proudly with plaster casts, Mueller sketched out his theory for a rapt group of journalists as well as some CNN folks with microphones:

“It all fell in place for us one 3 am after a few beers. Bigfoot appears to have served as a missing-link emissary species, carrying collusion directives from the Kremlin to the Trump Campaign.”

Has Bigfoot been deposed?

“No. But we will be presenting blurry pictures at a later date.”

Is Putin directly implicated in this scheme?

“We have always operated from the premise that Putin is omnipotent. So yes.”

What about the recent revelations that your Russian troll indictment was lifted, whole-cloth, from a 2015 Radio Free Europe Ukranian article? Are in-house plagiarism indictments forthcoming?

“It’s DOJ’s policy never to comment on ongoing witch hunts. What I can say is that we will continue to move in a dogged and determined fashion to confirm all our original suspicions until justice fully serves our unquenchable drive for power.”

Do you have any comment on President Trump’s latest tweets and do you plan to explore his “400 pound genius sitting in bed and playing with his computer” theory?

“While we haven’t ruled out genius as a motive, we’re not appropriately staffed to directly pursue that avenue.”

What about the President’s suspicion ‘they’re laughing their asses off in Moscow’?

How does he know they’re laughing and when did he know it? Can we get a phone number, please? Can we get a clue?

A Tale of Two Tale Spins: Managing America Through Its PTSD Collapse

The teeth-rattling cognitive dissonance that awaits half the nation (and it’s still fair to ask which half) is going to send some folks into therapy for years. This essay, as you will see, is predisposed to one narrative. The human mind cannot entertain both.

In fact, the reset for many will arrive in begrudging half-measures. They will grumble that the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy finally prevailed on poor Hillary. Psychologically, that will be about the best they can do. Patience, not partisan recriminations, will be the most suitable response.

I have an 80-something year old mother who will not walk on grass if the authorities have placed a sign on the approach to City Hall. She’s far from stupid and yet she has been socialized into an unquestioning belief that what appears on the TV news is an accurate rendition of what transpired in the world that day. Why would it be otherwise?

Morbid as it may sound, I would like her Christian naiveté to depart the planet unmarred before her go-to source, CNN, has little choice but to report on the most depraved aspects of what so many of us have already come to accept.

There may not be blood, but there will be psychological carnage which can create equally grievous wounds. Then there may be blood.

Already, microcosmic civil wars are being waged across America’s dining tables. It seems a new nation is being conceptually birthed one car pool and barbershop at a time. For better or worse, the alt-narrative is going mid-speed viral, which may be just fast enough. Perhaps the nation is better left ingesting seedy revelations in increments at a cellular level — friend helping friend — until a New Consensus can construct itself from the bottom-up, couched as a People’s directive for a new paradigm of leadership.

For the moment I’m having limited success reaching consensus with many in my social and family circles on even the most rudimentary fact patterns, as I’m sure many others are too. I think most Trump supporters have endured some level of social ostracism, even if it amounts to little more than de-friending on social networks. I know I have.

Red Pill/Blue Pill? I prefer Red Capstone/Blue Abyss. But there I go giving away my bias again.

If you believe the darkest tributaries of the Clinton/Globalist machinations, it takes on a Goebbels-esque Bigness that, by its very ambition, resists ready comprehension. Mass incredulity is a tactic. These people have (allegedly) drifted so far from the norms of human behavior that their aberrance serves as its own sinister camouflage. Our humanity implores us to deny the worst of what we hear, especially as it relates to children. I, for one, will be ecstatic if, in a surfeit of investigatory zeal, we’ve inferred an inky blackness where there is mere darkness. But like many of you, I’ve read too many bone-chilling accounts for too long.

I particularly want to acknowledge the Conservative Treehouse site. The analytical homework that has gone on there over the last few months is breathtaking. Kudos to the folks behind all that.

Due to the mass cognitive dislocation that may loom just around the corner, I believe people will benefit from graspable handles into this story, a conducted bread-crumb trail through the Dark Forest. Reminiscent of Sheldon Wolin’s inverted totalitarianism, the apparent totalism (Wolin’s term) of the corruption lends it a disembodied, ubiquitous colorless and odorless quality. Like Rosemary’s Baby, it can feel like everyone, every institution, is in the coven. We desperately need a redemptive figure.

Enter NSA Director, Admiral Mike Rogers.

The Conservative Treehouse largely fashioned the Rogers narrative, or at least I encountered it there first in its most comprehensive form. I simply attempted to propagate it and other relevant insights in the video (below) to spread the gospel within my own circle. Rogers presents a White Hat which decent people can sink their teeth into (not to mention that he seems to me a very credible Q Anon candidate; I follow Jerome Corsi’s lead on the latter’s veracity). The Admiral may be just the narrative float we need. I know I’m glad I found him.

The other advantage of the Rogers Handle is that, depicted correctly, it can neatly sidestep the elephant in the psych ward, Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). TDS is a real pathology.  No doubt you’ve encountered it in the more afflicted Trump-haters. Some examples of TDS in walk-around life:

It’s raining today. Damn that Trump!

California is engulfed in flames –Ooh I could strangle Trump!

My cat got hit by a car –Where’s that scoundrel Trump?!

In fact, The Chicago Manual of Style recently deemed our Rorschach President a new hybridized form of punctuation –something between a period and an exclamation mark. This means all petulant American bitches and moans (of which there are many) can now end in Trump without running afoul of grammatical syntax.

Years ago, my son asked me for an example of an ad hominem fallacy. Sure, I said. Charles Manson looks out the window and says “It’s raining.” A guy on the other side of the room says, “It can’t possibly be raining. Your mass murderer Charles Manson.” Trump has become the universal butt of all ad hominem attacks. You encounter this ‘mode of argument’ a dozen times every day in the mainstream press.

But seriously, the egregious and fascistic Constitutional abuses routinely practiced by the prior regime — both to preserve Clinton’s candidacy and then later, in phase two, to attempt a palace coup on the fledgling Trump administration — need not belabor the Trump name.

Call Trump simply Victim One if you like. Would you interrogate or blame a victim for being a compulsory party to a crime? Of course not! Then leave Trump out of it. Do your best Tom Jefferson and keep to the rarefied heights of Constitutional rectitude. (Please watch the video to get a keener sense of the frightening FISA 702 abuses and the Deep State/Obama Administration collusion that sought to usurp the People’s Choice. Trump is blessedly incidental to the core abuses.)

Finally (just because it pays to be paranoid and cynical all at the same time) there have been rumblings of a conciliatory ‘hand-across-the-aisle’ State of the Union address. I note too a rather buoyant Hillary at the recent Grammy’s. She doesn’t give off the vibe of someone expecting a swarm of US Marshals at any moment. Are we being punked again? I think Trump the Master Negotiator is too politically smart –and too covetous of his populist street cred– to stop short of shackles for these treasonous miscreants, but you never know. And who put the cement in Sessions’ shoes? Will the System, even with a comparatively exogenous Trump at the helm, rush in to save itself? It’s possible.

What I’m suggesting, with some trepidation, is that a Grand Bargain may yet emerge from the backrooms of power. Boy, it would have to be a kick-ass quid pro quo. The populist in me could never swallow such a betrayal –and make no mistake, it would be a betrayal. Only time will tell.

Democrats Have Found the Enemy if They Would Only Look

The Republicans are up to their usual shenanigans. There they are again, sitting on the Right. Don’t like it, Democrats? At least we (and they) know who they are. Posing the question as Pete Townshend did years ago, we must ask of the Blue Team: “Who are you? Who, who, who, who?”

Prior to the election and on these very ‘pages’, I argued how neither American party can reasonably be called Moderate Right, never mind Centrist or Left. I even suggested (with perhaps a dash of tongue-in-cheek) that a Trump-Sanders anti-TPP, labor-management ticket would provide the populist groundswell necessary to topple the Duopoly of Stasis once and for all.

Far and away, the Great Political Train Robbery of the last quarter-century was Clintonism which, in shouldering up just to the left of the Republicans, created a hostage crisis for the Center and Left that has never been defused.

Year ago, the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC), a pro-Democratic Party institution that fostered and encouraged Clintonism, defined the latter as standing for, “economic growth and opportunity; for fiscal responsibility; for work, not welfare; for preventing crime and punishing criminals; and for non-bureaucratic, empowering government”. That all sounds like perfectly benign banner-fodder (who’s for crime?) except that it could just as easily have festooned a Barry Goldwater banner.

So what gives, yon Party of FDR?

Clintonism created no real daylight between the two parties. That was its diabolical genius. If you think you see daylight, it’s because you’re told day and night by a corporate-captured media that there is. Organized political spectrum in America can be comfortably situated on the head of a pin.

Clintonism trapped progressives (and moderates) forevermore in a lesser-of-two-evils calculus. Three-quarters of the political spectrum was foreclosed upon, never to see the sound-stage light of Fox or MSNBC again.

Their political energies effectively sidelined, the dispossessed multitudes could still be counted upon to vote for the infinitesimally more palatable Democrats. After all Civics class taught them voting was their sacred duty. This shearing of the spectrum freed the party duopoly to develop a market-carving strategy where each could partake of their share of big corporate bucks. That’s how the pigs came to look like men and the men, pigs.

When Democrats failed to come out of their chairs after Clinton stole the nomination from Sanders –choosing instead to play the increasingly frayed lesser of two evils card yet again– (because, you know, the REAL THREAT was Trump), it was further evidence their moral capacities had, after a quarter-century of capture, succumbed to Stockholm Syndrome.

True inter-party competitiveness is at least one battle away. First, the Dems must undertake the painful task of unwinding their Faustian Bargain with corporate America. This is nothing the well-heeled party apparatchiks and consultants want to hear. After all, the corporate teat is their livelihood and no one can be reasonably argued away from their paycheck.

Another way of saying this, which Dems are going to hate, is that the first-order enemy of the Democratic Party (or should we say of traditional Democratic constituencies?) is neither Trump nor establishment Republicans, but Clintonism and Third Way politics. There is no historic parallel for the corrosive effect this Power Couple wielded over a nation’s political landscape — and the real dirt hasn’t even begun to surface. Stay tuned.

This is why DNC Chair Tom Perez is having such a hard time raising money. Putting bucks before soul is like asking a carriage to pull a horse. Money-centrism is myopia. Sanders proved the passion is out there in millions of $20 donations.

Of course, the normalized drumbeat is to defeat the Republicans in the mid-terms (what else?). Lesser evils and all that rot.

The real elephant in the room is not the elephant. It’s the existential fog that continues to beset the Democratic Party.

Know thyself or die trying.

Indifference Be Damned!

It’s hard to gauge the reception Pepe Escobar’s recent foray received, plumbing the murkier realms of Lynchian dystopia, Oppenheimer regret, the covert alchemy behind rocket science and the CIA’s demonically-laced appetite for destruction. (See ‘How Twin Peaks Unveils Our World’, Asia Times, September 7th, 2017). From all indications, the Internet didn’t exactly light up. That’s too bad. We need more of these elliptical excursions.

Linear narratives are like earnest breadcrumb trails left behind by the Pentagon press pool in the Enchanted Forest. If Snopes doesn’t get them by midmorning, crows devour them before sunset. We should cheer this development. The shelf-life for tissues of lies is collapsing.

No help from the eggheads either. All things academe have sold out. Dammit Professor, stop digging! Start encompassing! We’re awash in Ph.D. theses that fetishize granularity over a Theory of Every Damned Thing. The ultimate ah-ha! moment converges at the tippiest-top where grant-seekers dare not tread. Our academics are captured, beholden and kept in line by funding. Passing the empty pre-paid hours, they busy themselves with obscurata.

This leaves us some glorious eccentrics to map the expanse. David Lynch is doing his bit on the pop culture front. Pepe’s anti-globalist gonzo is stealing headlines from shadow-form (and shadow of its former self) the NYT.

You can feel the War in Heaven heating up. The spirit world has its knickers in a twist. Remember, St. Paul’s Principalities of the Air run the joint. That the Black Lodge acceded to playing possum for so long behind the duteous smocks of Fermi Labs was an Enlightenment coup. Like a protracted wax museum fire, the veneer has long since melted away. Materialism has dematerialized. Physicalism is a discredited heap of gizmos and techno-gadgetry intermingled with rivers of complicitous flesh and blood. You’re iPhone isn’t there. Neither is your carpal tunnel syndrome.

Escobar’s essay lashes the supernaturalist to the technocrat, ushering the Two Lodges into the threshold realm, or what he calls the “magician’s abode”. These are verboten connections that our divide-and-conquer overlords take pains to obscure:

+ “Enter the critical connection between ritual magic and modern science” or,

+ “the US deep state tapped into occult, uncontrollable forces as it opened unknown time-space portals”or,

+ “the cryptic, autocratic US deep state/industrial-military complex, via the first atomic bomb explosion in July 1945, opened a “crack”, a vacuum, a chasm (“between two worlds”) that allowed infernal/ metaphysical forces to enter our sphere of existence”

Forging this integrative healing process, Escobar tacitly endorses his own geo-political segue from adroit commentator on global realpolitik to globetrotting Bhagavad Gita-man. A word to the detractors: Pepe’s not cracking up. He’s coalescing!

Anxiety perpetuates the rift.

Cheerleaders for the Bernaysian mono-narrative, the Blitzers and Tappers of Tele-Pharisaic CNN-world, do their damnedest to instill the Next Clear and Present Danger with the last tool in their dwindling arsenal, neurotic repetition (Russian influence! Russian influence!)

When it isn’t cobbling war consensus, the MSM proffers a diversionary parade of Godot-esque Groundhog Days propped up with whispers of Big News to Come. Interwar periods call for little more than mass distraction and broad consumption. Until the war drums beat again. Which they are so clearly doing now. Hence the Russian obsession.

The Devil’s demonization projects always get the wrong guys killed. Case in point? Post-Bolshevist Russia is in the midst of a powerful Christian revival, having survived the Red Symphony’s full contempt only to emerge despite it all into prosperous renewal. The re-ascent of European Christendom (in an Orthodox vein) is a counter-cyclical development that casts sand in the Devil’s one good eye. After all, Babylon must first consolidate power on earth before giving it all back again at the end of history. Russophobia expresses a spiritual aversion first and foremost to which geopolitics acts as mere tablecloth.

God intervenes at the darkest hour. Might the propaganda onslaught be reaching a cognitive saturation point?

A growing cadre of regular peeps are vomiting up false consciousness and reacquainting with inner coordinates. Escobar is a torch-bearer for this movement.

The Controllers blunt our deep misgivings, demoting them to conspiracy theories. Sure there’s some paranoia in the mix. Every defenestrated celebrity can’t possibly have been tossed out the window by an Illuminati goon. Accidents still happen even among household names. This waking up stuff is a bitch. We’ll get better at it.

No less than media, Science peers from behind threadbare secularist garb. Oppenheimer’s dark underpinnings betray his true mistress, CERN’s threshold-greeter, Shiva. Science is in fact an egregoric pact the Enlightenment Lucifer hatched with Man allowing the latter to collaborate lustily in his own destruction. It’s not enough simply to destroy Man. Lucifer will only be satiated when God’s most prized creation actively destroy itself.

In yo face Y*hweh and back atcha!

The tide is turning though as we’re in the midst of an unprecedented reasserting of undisguised spiritual forces and entities. Proof? Exorcism rates are sky-rocketing around the globe and across all cultures. Did that old windbag Crowley and his whiz-kid Parsons really finagle a hole in the firmament? Jimmy Page has only one word for that: zoso.

Dark forces propelled the Enlightenment. Indeed Science’s greatest trick may have been making us believe the Devil didn’t exist. Are your keeping your eyes on the other shell ladies and gentlemen? Because that’s how superstition got repealed, that’s how souls became the stuff of fairy tale, that’s how haunted eyes became wards of the Pharma-State.

Escobar’s cross-pollination project is an attempt to paint the Biggest Picture where inky blackness plays a pivotal role. The Devil made Oppenheimer do it. In fact the former foreshadows his subtle, new role in Baudelaire’s The Generous Gambler (1864) when he speaks of his one great wish to escape superstition by destroying it.

Gone are the day of Dantean/Miltonian blustery brimstone and tacky red capes. Pressed white lab coats make the Man of Wealth and Taste. The Enlightenment relegated lurid displays of evil to the back burner in favor of the progressive flame of Bunsen burners.

Brian Reis has another name for this sly costume change: ‘satanic indifference’ or if one prefers the official euphemistic parlance, secular humanism. Scientists, oblivious to the dark underwriter of their work, insist their paymaster doesn’t exist. Yet Hiroshima (next stop, Pyongyang?) shows us how the wages of science yield a scalable, dissociative sin that puts one-on-one fornication to shame.

Here’s Baudelaire’s early scoop on the urbane gent soon to become Mick Jagger’s Patron Saint and Jean Luc Godard’s Docu-Marxo-Daemon:

“[Lucifer] complained in no way of the evil reputation under which he lived, indeed, all over the world, and he assured me that he himself was of all living beings the most interested in the destruction of Superstition, and he avowed to me that he had been afraid, relatively as to his proper power, once only, and that was on the day when he had heard a preacher, more subtle than the rest of the human herd, cry in his pulpit: “My dear brethren, do not ever forget, when you hear the progress of lights praised, that the loveliest trick of the Devil is to persuade you that he does not exist!”

The memory of this famous orator brought us naturally on the subject of academies, and my strange host declared to me that he didn’t disdain, in many cases, to inspire the pens, the words, and the conscience of pedagogues, and that he almost always assisted in person, in spite of being invisible, at all the scientific meetings.”–from The Generous Gambler [my italics]

At first Lucifer appears wary of the looming prospect of invisibility (obsolescence) in the glare of ‘progressive lights’. (That’s an affected pose. He knows better.) Later, he comes to embrace the Enlightenment for the Deep Cover it affords him. Yes of course David Lynch, it’s the same ole BOB (it’s ALWAYS the same ole BOB) this time under cover of the Scientific Method as his apprentices work to refine the latest spiritual setback invariably cloaked as ‘a technological breakthrough’ but never much more than the latest new and improved invisibility cloak.

This is how hell surreptitiously substituted itself for our native surroundings. Absent a telltale imprimatur of arrival, it mimicked the slinking serpent only too well, enfolding us in slow, deadly coils that soon acclimated into ubiquitous atmosphere. The new generation of frogs love hot tubs and can’t understand why. The evidence of this stealth and guile are evident in the creeping advance of obesity, diabetes, hypertension and early cancer.

First, Heidegger said, technology enveloped us with irresistible convenience. This solicitousness played well to our innate laziness and hubris. However the agenda was always to beguile and then surpass us once techne could stand unassisted on its own transhuman feet. (Transhumanism is Ray Kurzweil’s rhetorical avoidance for post-humanism. What deep wellsprings of self-loathing compel a man to perfect his artilect executioners?)

So, evil adopts the stealth of dreary rationalism and consolidates the final lap in an orgy of mushroom clouds and fabric-splitting CERN colliders. Some people will die thinking it was the Dull March of Science –and Science alone– that killed them. But the Damned know better.

The low-order functionaries of the demon world, unlike Man, intuit the future. In Matthew 8 they ask presciently of Jesus, ‘art thou come hither to torment us before the time?’ It is a facet of angels, fallen and otherwise, that they are keen readers of the eschatological clock. Even for us, today, the narrowing path is becoming harder to ignore. The hour is late.

During the walk’s final mile, Pepe is wise to keep one foot in fire, one in ice. When thresholds afford the soundest footing, betwixt and between is the only way forward.
